Tiered Reflections consists of multiple-coloured mirrored squares, all set at different heights, which reflect orbs and shapes of light across the exhibition space and create kaleidoscopic patterns in vibrant hues. Tiered Reflections was created in 2024 for the occasion of Jodhpur Arts Week and sited at the historical Toorji ka Jhalra.

The artwork has been adapted and reinterpreted for this special presentation at British Council in Delhi, keeping colours that reference its starting point in Toorji ka Jhalra step-well, but adding bold hues that respond to its new surroundings in Delhi. Tiered Reflections references the geometry of many iconic Indian temples and palaces, which are part of the country’s heritage and identity. This artwork extends beyond the visual, fostering an emotional and spiritual connection in the viewer to the space.

Commissioned by the Public Arts Trust of India and supported by British Council for Jodhpur Arts Week Special Projects Edition 2024 and the India Art Fair parallel programme 2025. Curated by Emma Sumner and Sakhshi Mahajan.
