The limited edition print Our Melody Unwound was created on the occasion of Liz West’s large scale wall installation at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre in Liverpool. The installation is Liz West’s first permanent two-dimensional wall based artwork, covering an area of more than 800 sqm. This print represents a 5 meter section of the installation.

‘When I first made the Our Melody Unwound installation specifically for the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre in Liverpool, it was a huge challenge to create 90 linear meters of artwork to cover the atrium walls, with no part of the work ever repeating itself. The balance between the coloured shards and the white space was crucial, as from a distance this reads as a flash of white light. When scaled down to the size of a print, the artwork becomes like a little jewel, an intense and undulating balance of vibrant hues to enjoy on a domestic scale.’
