Using West’s playful and dynamic use of colour and light, Gridded Echo reflects Brookfield Place’s architecture and those who inhabit it in kaleidoscopic and reflective colour, allowing people to see themselves and the space in a different light.

This new artwork comprises a vertical sculpture adorned with coloured mirrored squares, echoing the arrangement and size of the glass blocks on the floor. The luminous colour is exaggerated with nearby spotlights, radiating orbs of colour outwards and across the immediate space, almost like a multicoloured disco ball or a vertical dancefloor.
