Diffraction Tango

Remember encountering the rainbow delights of petrol spills on a wet road, the chromatic silvery sheen on the back of a compact disc, or the gleaming iridescence of a butterfly wing? Iridescence is an intriguing substance, begging us to look harder and with closer inspection. Within this artwork, West explores the gleaming and tantalising interplay of this beguiling material, creating a playful and ever-changing landscape or iridecent colour that gleams, shines and becomes apparent to passers-by through a pattern of circular apertures.
